Mike Koenning Bio

Mike Koenning - Throws coach at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.  Spent 2001-2004 as throws coach at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA.    Graduated from University of Wisconsin La Crosse majoring in Exercise and Sports Science with a Strength and Conditioning concentration in 2001.  Became a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2003.  Coaching experience includes athletes compiling 8 individual conference championships, 7 All-American awards, and one Olympic Trials competitor in 3 years at Wartburg.

Throwing highlights include the 2001 NCAA Division 3 national championship in the hammer and placing 8th at the 2001 USATF indoor nationals in the weight throw.  Currently training for the hammer and weight throws and will compete for the ThrowFarther track club.
