This is a common occurence because throwers get over zealous. A couple things to try; Use the verbal cue for them to "jump" in the front. It is the simplest way to over come this, WITHOUT over thinking the problem. Also try talking about getting the feet closer together, as you would if you were doing a vertical leap test or rebounding a basketball.
Another approach is to talk about getting off the left foot faster in the back of the circle and more importantly, get the left foot down quicker in the front.
You can also try clapping your hands at the rate their feet are hitting the ground. Just showing them the difference between clap... clap... (right foot, left foot) and clap, clap! (right, left).
Lastly, I always go back to doing full throws into a power position. I call them Full-stops (or wheel-stops, s. African-stops) Making sure athletes can stop in their power position ensures correct position (or atleast better position) and allows you to work on technique without the desire to throw.
Hope these ideas help.
