Do you have a video camera? If you do, video yourself doing stand throws and then full throws. I can almost guarantee that if you pause the video of your full throws when you hit the power position, that it looks completely different than your normal stand throw.

Something to try. Note the postion, feeling, power, etc that you get from a stand throw. Then do full throws but stop in your power postion. First off, if you can't stop, you are out of control. Second, if the position you feel is different, make adjustments and then do the same thing again. Until you can hit the same power position that you use in your stand throw, you won't get as much out of it.

A way to get some free reps in. Always do full spins into your power position. Stop in that position, then do your warm-ups. It works well.

Hope this helps.

I agree, but I would need to see what you are doing before I could give you any suggestions on how to fix the problem. But the ideas stated previously are great.

This is great advice. I've been thinking that we should simply get in your power position and then work backwards. The spin/glide won't do anything for you if it doesn't allow you to be in the power position. Refine your spin so that you can get to the power position with balance.
