The easiest thing to increase speed in the throws is have your thrower throw with lighter implements. For example have a girl throw a 6lb shot put. The difference is 2 feet a pound. If a girl throws 30 feet with a 4k she should throw 35 feet with a 6lb. The difference is 2.5 pounds x 2 feet a pound = five feet.

how is his overall accelleration throughout? sometimes it's not so much about the speed but how the thrower can increase momentum at each phase of the throw, until release. we work a lot with the kick-by: keeping the right foot moving, getting the leg by and down quickly- which is the common culprit for slowing down for us.
